Learn Sound Design with Me. A New Class on Skillshare!
Simple and practical techniques to transform your videos through the creative use of audio
Hey everyone!
For the last few weeks, I've been working on a project that has kept me quite busy. Because of that, this newsletter is a little bit different. I'm excited to share that I've just released a new Skillshare class on sound design for video! This class taps into another big area of my life—filmmaking.
This topic is actually quite personal to me because I love everything about images, video, and cinema... but at the same time, it's one of those things where I don't consider myself an expert. My approach focuses on creativity rather than perfection and, to be honest, I very much prefer doing it instead of teaching it. It's so easy to fall into a very technical or formulaic approach when in reality—for me at least—it's all about creativity and finding my own personal voice through these mediums. The amazing thing about video, photography, audio, and all these different tools is that they all can work as a language. Once you learn this, the only thing left is either figuring out what you want to say, or what is the intention behind what you create. Sometimes it's just about understanding how these ideas speak by themselves and seeking ways to give them a voice.
I've shared a short video explaining a bit more and showing you the trailer to the class. Check it out:
This class is designed to be practical and approachable, especially for beginners who want to explore sound design for video work. I've tried to keep things simple and hands-on, sharing insights from my own creative process and practical ways to enhance everything you do through sound.
You can check out the class over at THIS LINK.
I'll be back next week with more of a usual weekly recap of content I've consumed and stuff I've been discovering lately (there’s a lot of that!).
Thanks for your continued support!
Best,
Robert
